BMW Group Enjoyed a Boost in February Sale

BMW group has achieved its best-ever sale record in February. It delivered 141,093 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles, 5.6 percent more vehicles than last year. It also delivered a record number of 273,999 automobiles, almost 6.6 percent more than same period of last year.

“February was another record month for us,” said Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Sales and Marketing BMW. “The innovative new models coming out this year, such as the 2 Series Active Tourer and 4 Series Gran Coupé we just premiered to great reviews at the Geneva Motor Show, will give us the momentum to keep growing in 2014.” Robertson added.

There is also an 8.6 percent increase posted in February sale record of brand vehicle since 124,839 BMW brand vehicles were delivered to customers while last year it delivered 114,909 vehicles at same period of last year. Demand for BMW X 3 ads BMW 5 was high in first two months of 2014, significant sale growth rate was 15.5 % and 11.4 % respectively.

The 13.8 % decrease in sale of MINIs was observed as BMW delivered 15,975 to the customers while they delivered 18,527 MINIs last year during same period. This decrease is possibly due to latest MINI model that will be headed to market from mid-march. An increase in the sale of MINI Clubman was observed in first two months ( total of 2,532 vehicles, last year 2,067.

There is an 18.3 percent increase noticed in the February sale of BMW Motorrad as 8098 vehicles delivered as compared with 6847 vehicle of same month last year. An increase of 16 percent observed in the worldwide delivery of motorcycles: 13536 motorcycles delivered in first two months of 2014 while 11665 were delivered in same period last year.

It is interesting to know that BMW not only maintained but also increased sale in almost all regions around the world in February. Sale of MINI and BMW vehicles in China, Japan and South Korea increased 29.1%, 29.1% and 17.3 % respectively in first two months of 2014. Sale of BMW and MINI vehicle remained stable in USA and European regions in first two months of 2014. An impressive 54 %  increase in the sale of BMW group observed in Brazil while 14.3% and 15.2 % increase in vehicle deliveries recorded in Mexico and Scandinavia respectively during first two months in 2014 as compared with same period of last year.
